The box is made of alder wood combined with birch plywood (base and clapper). The lid is made of massive wood, which allows to effectively round the edges, other than with many competing products. The box is intended primarily to store one set of tarot or playing cards (e.g. Double German), but there are of course other possible uses. The surface has beed treated with antique oak colored hard wax oil.
