The wooden box is made of alder wood, combined with birch plywood (base, partition walls). The lid is made of massive wood, which allows effective rounding of the edges, other than with many competing products. The box is intended to store four sorts of tea, which is supported by the inner space being split into 4 parts. It is however possible to remove the partitioning walls and obtain more space in the box that way. The surface has been treated with antique oak colored oil that is certified as food safe.
